Born into a family of artists, I grew up in rural Saskatchewan. A childhood of drawing blossomed into an education in the Arts. After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree I soon moved to Taiwan with my wife Siobhan. We began getting tattooed by Taiwanese Master Diau-An. These tattoos (and this relationship) would ultimately inspire me to merge my love of the arts and my love of tattoos into one clear path.
Upon moving back to Canada, I sought an apprenticeship. It was Art Godoy at Funhouse Tattoos who opened that initial door into the world of tattooing. While working as "shop help" at Funhouse, I met Jeremy Riley, who soon became my close friend and teacher.
In April of 2008 Jeremy opened Tattoo Union and I made the move with him. It has been nothing but a rewarding experience. The quiet atmosphere of our shop offers a great setting for custom tattooing.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the love and support of Siobhan, my best friend and wife.
